About Us

Amecco Watkins is the founder of The Rose Watkins ALS Tour of Dreams, a Non-Profit Organization dedicated to honoring the legacy of his mother, Rose Watkins, who courageously battled ALS for six years. Known for her strength, compassion, and love for the Kansas City Chiefs, Rose inspired everyone she met. From 2013 to 2023, Amecco and his sister Taina and Rose’s husband Ray cared for her full-time, providing unwavering support and love. Through his organization, Amecco continues to raise awareness and offer hope to families affected by ALS, keeping Rose’s spirit alive in every step of the journey.

Rose Watkins was a devoted wife, loving grandmother, and passionate Kansas City Chiefs fan whose warmth and resilience touched everyone she met. Diagnosed with ALS in 2017, Rose faced the disease with extraordinary strength and grace for six years. Despite being bedridden and non-verbal, her spirit remained unshaken.

Cared for full-time by her children, Amecco and Taina and her husband Ray, Rose was surrounded by love and compassion everyday. Her kindness, courage, and unwavering dedication to family continues to inspire those around her that knew her. Rose’s legacy lives on through “The Rose Watkins ALS Tour Of Dreams”, a Non-Profit Organization Founded by her son Amecco Watkins to honor her life and to help support families affected by ALS.
